IT Systems Development & Support

Due to our growth and increasing technology use, Rapid Plas is looking for a full time IT Assistant to join our team. This role offers a wide range of activities and challenges.

Key role functions include:

  • Application development and maintenance, mostly using Microsoft technologies
  • SQL database maintenance and SQL coding for data storage and extraction
  • Reporting, dashboards and data analysis
  • Website integration maintenance
  • IT support (including printers, PCs and networking) as required
  • Evaluate and implement new digital systems and projects
  • IIOT – data collection and management from industrial machinery

Key interface:
This role will support the IT & RD Manager, and interact with staff across the organisation

We are seeking people that have:

  • Demonstrated prior technical training coupled with experience
  • Knowledge of computer networking systems and computer hardware is essential
  • Competent, current and solid IT skills and understanding
  • Attention to detail

WHS Coordinator

Rapid Plas is a leading NSW tank manufacturer with a modern manufacturing facility based at Tamworth NSW.
Rapid Plas has an exciting opportunity for a full time WHS Coordinator at our Tamworth manufacturing base.
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer the WHS Coordinator will be responsible to administer the current WHS Management System and its continuous improvement.

Key role functions include:

  • Undertake WHS inspection/audits on site and report on outcomes;
  • Conduct, or assist in conducting, incident and near miss investigations to a high standard;
  • Develop and deliver relevant safety information through training and induction sessions;
  • Update WHS policies and procedures as required.
  • Assist the CFO to compile WHS reports, programs and presentations;
  • Guide and advise Managers and employees to ensure effective implementation of WHS initiatives and programs;
  • Other WHS administrative duties as required.
  • Remain current with Legislative requirements.

We are seeking people that have:

  • Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety
  • Candidates with Work, Health and Safety experience, specifically in manufacturing will be highly regarded.
  • RTW Coordinator certificate or relevant experience

Fleet Scheduler

Rapid Plas, a leading NSW water tank manufacturer, is seeking applications from either current fleet schedulers or persons who have broad experience working in the freight and logistics industry.
This role manages a fleet of trucks at our Tamworth manufacturing base.

Key role functions include:

  • Scheduling driver workloads in a manner that maximises vehicle efficiency and meets CoR obligations;
  • Prompt customer liaison via telephone or email;
  • Ensuring job details are conveyed to drivers clearly, concisely and timely;
  • Data entry using our own various software programs and Microsoft Office.
  • Liaising with the workshop to schedule repairs and maintenance on trucks and trailers.

We are seeking people that have:

  • MR Licence (minimum)
  • Forklift licence
  • Ability to provide best practice customer service;
  • Planning and time management skills;
  • Ability and a genuine focus and desire to assist and support customers and team members;
  • A level of knowledge of CoR, NHVR, Speed Compliance, Load Restraint;
  • A good level of written and verbal communication skills;
  • Mechanical knowledge would be an advantage.

Truck Driver – MR Licence

We are currently seeking a Truck Driver (MR or above) to undertake long distance trips and some local deliveries.

Key role functions include:

  • Perform the delivery of goods throughout NSW and interstate
  • Ensure the correct, secure and safe loading and unloading of goods
  • Assist with shed duties and other reasonable tasks as required
  • Comply and understand all OHS regulations
  • Comply with RTA guidelines and Fatigue Management Guidelines

We are seeking people that have:

  • HC HR or MR Licence with minimum 2 years’ experience
  • Forklift Licence LF (Beneficial not essential)
  • Excellent customer service
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Physically Fit
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to work overtime hours

This is a full-time position which will be covered by the Road Transport (Long Distance Operations) Award 2010.

Applicants will be required to provide an up-to-date RTA driving history at point of interview. Pre-employment medical drug and alcohol testing will be completed before confirmation of employment.

Rapid Plas has an exciting opportunity for a full time Internal Sales Support Specialist at our Tamworth manufacturing base.
Reporting to the Rural Sales Manager, they will support their Key Account Manager by handling incoming/outgoing calls and managing the opportunity pipeline for their territory. This role involves input into planning and actioning key team-based activities.

Key Role Functions Include:

  • Work with key internal and external business partners to support and service a dedicated dealer network
  • Develop and maintain competency to ensure opportunities and required data is created in CRM for all required opportunities
  • Demonstrate ability to learn new concepts with a focus on continuous process improvement
  • Handle customer enquiries to ensure sales channels deliver on our customer promise

We are seeking people that have:

  • Professional phone skills
  • High level of organisational skills and ability to effectively prioritise deadlines
  • Excellent personal and team accountability and energy to drive and meet sales goals
  • Competent computer skills and experience with CRM systems is required
