The gap between bulk and pump price is the easiest money most operations leave on the table. Five thousand litres is usually the point where that stops being theoretical — enough to make a delivery worth a supplier’s time, without committing the space or the spend of a bigger tank.

The RapidPlas 5,000L Diesel Storage Tank is rotationally moulded in one piece from diesel-grade, with extra thick walls, UV-stabilised polyethylene. One piece means no welds, seams or joins to weep. Poly means nothing inside to rust — no scale breaking loose and travelling down the outlet into a fuel system where injector clearances are measured in microns.

It draws from a 50mm low-level outlet with a lockable ball valve and camlock, so you can gravity feed, run it to your own transfer pump, or simply lock it when you’re off the property. Fuel goes in through a 50mm anti-splash, anti-static fill line with a non-return valve, and you check the level from the ground on a clock gauge rather than climbing up with a dipstick.

Water is the thing that ruins stored diesel, so the lid is poly welded shut — no removable cap to be left off, no seal to perish in the sun. The vent the tank needs to breathe sits on a 300mm riser, high enough that rain hitting the lid can’t splash in.
