Why some people don’t buy a Rapid Plas rainwater tank

When making a decision on what rainwater tank to buy, not everyone chooses Rapid Plas.
This comes down to a few factors that influence their decision.
The corrugated design
Not everyone loves the corrugated design, but many that do, say that they love the look of the Rapid Plas tank because of its corrugated profile. Some people just want a smooth walled tank, and some just don’t care what their tank looks like because they are hiding it behind a shed, the house, or even a hedge. Some people see the extra value in the strength that the corrugated profile gives too.
They’re not sure what pitfalls to look out for.
Some don't choose Rapid Plas rainwater tanks because they have never experienced the pain of what can go wrong with a water tank. For example, if a tank fitting is put in wrong the tank can crack right at the fitting, with the crack spreading right up the side of the tank or down underneath and across the floor. If someone's not sure what to look for when buying a tank, they could buy one without molded in outlets. Molded in outlets decrease the risk of this possibility.
Some people are concerned with how long their tank will last for, and others are less concerned because they, for example, are just putting it down in the back paddock where this is no risk if the tank fails. Or they just feel that a tank that will last 30+ years is just too far into the future to be concerned about.
The Price
What's consistent across all customers is that everyone wants the best value for money. In saying this, some just want the cheapest, some want to go for something more expensive, trusting and thinking that they’re getting a better-quality rainwater tank. Some people just don’t choose Rapid Plas because they’ve found a better deal ‘on special’ somewhere else. Where we can really help people get the best value is in talking to them about their project and what they’re doing, and putting together a tailored unbeatable offer specific to them and their location.
Don’t need to ever lift their tank
Along with the points above where looks or a tank that lasts isn’t really a concern, then it just might be the fact that they need to crane the tank into position that causes them to choose Rapid Plas. On lifting, please watch our video on how to do this. Lifting the tank wrong can do serious damage to the roof. Of course if you’re just rolling the tank into place you’ll never need these lifting lugs.
If you’re sure of no changes for the future
If you’re sure you only need one outlet when you're planning your tank installation, then two outlets on a tank are more of a hinderance than a help. Rapid Plas tanks come with 2 outlets and I always recommend to put an extra ball valve on the outlet you’re not using, because if you ever want to connect this to something down the track it's much easier to do this before the tank is filled with water.
Delivery
This is pretty important to many people when buying a rainwater tank. For some though it isn’t a concern when or how the tank gets delivered and they choose another brand. Some people need it quick, others would like to get their tank order sorted but have it delivered at a later date, for example, once their house or shed has been built and their tank pad is ready.
If someone needs a water tank urgently, for example, for an emergency because they don’t have a water supply available, then it really comes down to who can get it there first. And this depends on who has a truck going to that area with space on it. Sometimes Rapid Plas can get them a rainwater tank real quick due to having many dealers across NSW and Southeast QLD that hold stock and some that offer delivery.
Rapid Plas also work very closely with customers on when they want delivery too, seeking to be as flexible as reasonably possible with their requirements.
